1. Animal Playtime Quilt.

Animal Playtime Quilt Workshop

The Animal Playtime Quilt is made using Pauline’s Between the Block QAYG technique.

In this class you will use the Animal Playtime Pattern and Templates, and be taught step-by-step how to create this fun and colourful quilt.

The quilt is made one block at a time, with the blocks set on point to give a charming effect. You’ll also learn about different types of sashings to join the quilt together. You can increase the size to make a larger quilt if desired.

Please note – you will be required to keep working on your quilt at home in between each class. This helps to develop your understanding and refine the methods being taught. Please be aware that you may not have a finished quilt by the end of the 3 or 4 day class, unless the classes have been spread out over several weeks (or months) giving you enough time to complete parts between each class. You will, however, finish a 3 or 4 day class with all the knowledge and skills required to complete the quilt at your leisure.

2. Simple Shapes Stunning Quilts.

Simple Shapes Stunning Quilts

This class is great for those who’d like to use their creativity in constructing a quilt.

You will be shown how to use the PQW Oval and Mandorla Templates to create simple oval and almond shapes, which you’ll then use to design your own applique layout. Alternatively, you can follow the design presented in the class by Pauline.

The blocks used can be any size. You’ll be taught step-by-step how to quilt your blocks first, then add the appliques and complete invisible applique by machine. Finally, the blocks will be joined together using the Between the Block QAYG technique.

3. Rectangles Rock n Roll Quilt.

Rectangles Rock n Roll Quilt

In this class you’ll create this easy, straight 2 ½” wide strip quilt using jelly roll and some additional fabrics. Each block is made from striped pieces, with the quilt able to be made any size desired.

Pauline will teach you how to piece the blocks together, then quilt each block, before joining the blocks together using her Back to Back QAYG technique. Finally, the borders are quilted, before joining them on to finish the quilt.

4. Dance of the Butterflies Quilt.

Dance of the Butterflies Quilt Workshop

The Dance of the Butterflies Quilt uses Pauline’s Back to Back QAYG technique, where the panels are quilted before adding the applique. A wide sashing is used to join the panels together at the end.

This is a great class to learn different techniques with bias and fussy cutting of flowers and circles. You will be shown how to make dimensional butterflies that ‘stand up’ off the quilt. The bias around the fans is a nice feature that sets this quilt apart from others.

This quilt can also be made larger by adding more panels to make it wider, or adding to the length of each panel to make it longer.

5. Robot Family Quilt.

Robot Family Quilt

The Robot Family Quilt is a fun and vibrant quilt that is constructed using the Between the Block QAYG technique. Another great fabric stash buster, with each of the blocks being a different size to add dimension to the quilt.

In this class you will be taught to do the straight-line quilting on the blocks first, followed by the applique. The flying geese are sewn together and then quilted, before joining to the blocks. Different size sashings pull this quilt together, along with the different size borders. The quilt can be made to any size by adding more blocks.

6. Butterfly Kisses Quilt.

Butterfly Kisses Quilt

In this class Pauline will teach you how to make your own Butterfly Kisses Quilt using her Between the Block QAYG technique.

You will be taught how to quilt the blocks and then applique with a nice blanket stitch in a contrast-coloured thread on your machine. A unique part of this quilt is joining the blocks together with a blending sashing, meaning the quilt will not look like a QAYG quilt once finished.

You’ll also incorporate lace in the construction of the quilt, which gives the dolls, ‘Emily and Daisy’, a nice little extra touch.

A fabulous class to learn some different techniques and skills, and to also apply your own techniques, if desired.

7. Lu Lu’s Quilt.

Lu Lu's Quilt Workshop

Lu Lu’s Quilt is constructed with simple steps to achieve fantastic results. The Quilt uses the Between the Block QAYG technique and consists of 8 pieced and 5 applique blocks.

In this class you will learn step-by-step how to piece the blocks and then quilt them individually. You will quilt the applique blocks before completing the invisible applique. Finally, the borders are pieced and quilted, then joined to the quilt.

You will be taught accurate cut, piecing and pressing techniques to give perfect points. A must do class for any quilter wanting to master the art of piecing and quilting a QAYG quilt with a professional looking finish.
