Hobbs Heirloom Fusible Batting offers a convenient solution for quilters looking to streamline their process.
Comprising an 80% Cotton and 20% Polyester blend, this batting not only provides excellent loft and drape for quilts but also comes with the added benefit of being double-sided fusible. This unique feature allows quilters to skip the traditional pinning or basting of their quilt layers together. By simply ironing, the top and bottom fabrics will be temporarily adhered to the batting, saving significant time and effort.
Quilting with Hobbs Heirloom Double-Sided Fusible Batting is a joy due to its excellent quilting properties. Once incorporated into a quilt, whether through hand or machine quilting, it maintains its integrity and ensures a beautiful finish. Since the fusing medium is water-soluble, it will dissolve after its first wash.
Whether you are planning to do work on a small wall hanging or a large bedspread, Hobbs Heirloom Double-Sided Fusible Batting provides the versatility and reliability that quilters trust.
Pauline swears by this batting for all her quilting projects, attesting to its quality and ease of use. With Hobbs Heirloom Double-Sided Fusible Batting, quilters can enhance their quilting experience. Making the process more efficient without compromising on the beauty and durability of the finished quilt.
Sold by the metre, it measures 2.4 metres wide once unfolded.
**** DUE TO THE COST TO POST THIS PRODUCT (BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT AND SIZE), FREE SHIPPING WILL NOT APPLY IF THE ORDER IS JUST FOR BATTING ****

I found the Hobbs Heirloom Fusible to keep the fabric in place
and flat for sewing layers together , very helpful. I have only been quilting a couple of years and self-taught by watching many different UTube tutorials, including PQW.

Excellent product. The best I have used.

This is so easy to use, I’m using it doubled as it is rather thin. But sometimes you only need thin batting. And can’t get it, being fusible is a bonus…

Really like this product and how easy it makes assembling a quilt. Unfortunate that it is more pricey than other batting.
I also bought the glue at the class and I’d rate it as a it a game changer!

The Hobbs Heirloom Fusible Batting is fantastic I will not use other brands again. Over the last 20years I have tried many brands of batting and found them wanting, with arthritis in my hands using pins was becoming difficult so Roxanne Glue and clips also make Quilting life a little easier. Have made my version of Toots on Toosday quilt but have yet to figure out how to make photo small enough to add to email, I usually send photos on my phone.

Great adhesion to cotton, not the best adhesion for linen fabric. I made my first quilt with linen fabric and it turned out great and super proud of it! But I still had to use some spray adhesive to help keep the batting sticking to the linen fabric. Something to keep in mind if you want to make linen fabric quilts like I do. I want to try the batting with linen/cotton blend fabrics to see if the cotton content helps with adhesion. Quilt pattern: Clava by Miss Make.

Very simple to use. Eliminated the need to pin!!

I am a convert for this batting, loving that it eliminates the pinning or basting process. No sticky residue to gum up the needles.
