The Magic of Binding Kit

The 1 1/4" Sasher™ Tool is PQW's version of a bias maker. It allows you to quickly and easily fold bias or straight grain fabric strips in half (raw edges together), or perform a perfect bias fold using just the Sasher Tool and an iron.

Use the 1 1/4" Sasher to make:

• Stems and vines for applique,
• Sashing strips for Quilt As You Go quiltmaking,
• Bias tape for Celtic or stained glass applique
• Bag handles.
• Also the perfect size for use with Jelly Rolls (2 1/2" strips)

You will notice that the sides of the Sasher have a curved shape. This is so the curved edge of an iron can neatly fit against the Sasher as you push it along; Which means no more burnt fingers! Pauline recommends using the mini iron as it fits perfectly in the curve of the Sasher.

Please note - the size on the Sasher is the finished size of the folded strip. If you require a 1 1/4" finished size, cut the fabric 2 1/2" wide and then put it through the 1 1/4" Sasher.

You'll have perfectly folded strip every time!

The Magic Binding Sasher Tool is the quickest and most precise way to make your binding with a peeper/flange. It gives the edge of your quilt a professional look, all without burning your fingers.

To use, simply cut a main colour strip at 1 1/2" wide, and cut an accent colour strip for the peeper/flange at 1 3/4" wide. Ensure you cut enough strips to go around the length of your quilt; joining both strip sets together to make two long individual strip sets.

Stitch the two strips together with a 1/4" seam, and press to the main colour (1 1/2" strip). You will then have a 2 3/4" strip ready to fold through the Magic Binding Sasher Tool.

The curved edge of the Sasher Tool has been designed to fit the curved edge of an iron, allowing you to easily push the Sasher along. We use and recommend the mini iron.

The Duo Tool is a multi function tool that allows quilters and sewers to be creative with making:

• 1/2 inch or 1 inch ruching for flowers,
• trims on garments and quilts,
• adding to sashings and borders of quilts, and many other items

The angled end of the Tool is for the joining and finishing of bindings on quilts and garments. Your bindings will have a perfect finish - with the start/stop point perfectly joined.
